Saying Goodbye

Living here can be hard especially when we have to say good bye to people that have become our family. Today we had a goodbye party for our dear friends Marianne, David and their daughter Sarah. David and Marianne have been here since we moved here 7 years ago. They have been a significant part of my kids lives and mine and John's as well. They are the kind of people you look for at your dinner table for Thanksgiving and Christmas and if they aren't present (like this past Christmas) I cry. So tonight we celebrated their time here and took a trip down memory lane with a video of all their years here in Asia. It was neat to see the impact they have had on so many people. We are going to miss them dearly.

  1. Hey friend! I actually saw this post a few days ago, but didn't get a chance to comment till now. Just wanted you to know how much David and I appreciate what you wrote. We were actually laying in bed talking about it the other night! You and John and the kids are absolutely like family to us, and as wonderful as it will be to celebrate holidays with our biological families in the States in the future, we will absolutely feel the lack of holidays with the Greene's!! We love you guys, we LOVE the memories of the years we've spent together, from fun team times on campus to awesome vacations, Settlers of Catan and just hanging out and laughing together! Those times were treasures!!! We will just have to make it a priority to see you guys, somehow someway, whenever you are back in the U.S. We will miss you guys a ton . . . and I, personally, will miss you Alisa more than you know! Love you.
