ZOO!

Last week John had some days off for the holiday so we decided to go to the zoo with our friends. We had a great time. It was very different than an American zoo in that you could touch some of the animals and even feed them. I also saw little kids in a pen running around with a net trying to catch ducks! Not something you see everyday. Kayleigh even had the opportunity to sit on a camel. She was a little scared at first but really liked it by the end. It was a great day and if you come to visit us I will take you there!

I'm not sure why they both have these looks on their faces!

My favorite by far was the tigers. You could actually feed them by taking a fishing pole with meat on the end and lowering it down in their cage. We walked through a walk way with a cage surrounding us to keep us from the tigers. Below are some awesome signs that we couldn't resist taking pictures of.

The sign below says: Tigers like to get on top and pee, yes...tigers truly are not attractive.

Zoo Trip

While our friends were in town we decided to take a trip to the zoo. I have lived in our city for 5 years and have never visited the zoo. I have to admit I had very low expectations however, I was very pleasantly surprised. We found out that the zoo has a bear and tiger show everyday around 10:30. Kayleigh loved the zoo and was so excited to see the elephants especially the little baby one. My one complaint would be that there is no rhyme or reason to how they have laid out the zoo. So if you were like me and meeting your friends after they had already been at the zoo for an hour it would be very hard to find them. It took me about 30 minutes to find them at the elephants. You would be surprised of how many people had no clue where the elephants were when I asked them!

Thailand Trip Day 4 part 1

On the fourth day of our trip we went to the zoo with our friends Bright and Zion. They absolutely loved to see all of the animals up close. We even were able to feed giraffes and an elephant their food. Kayleigh was really scared but still enjoyed watching them be fed from our hands. The zoo is built on the side of a mountain so the entire complex has many hills and valleys. The zoo recommends that we ride the trolley system to each part of the zoo where you can get off, look at animals and wait for the next trolley a few minutes away. The zoo also had a very nice aquarium that the kids also loved.
