Kayleigh's 2nd Birthday

On Sunday we had Kayleigh's 2nd Birthday Party. All of her friends and team mates were able to come. Kayleigh had a blast and was exhausted after the day was done. Above are all of her friends that came to her birthday party. Kayleigh's Grammy made hats for all of her friends and as you can see we never successfully got a picture of them all wearing it. Some wanted to play with their hat while the others wanted to eat it!

I think this is a perfect example of one of Kayleigh's amazing facial expressions. She has just opened a princess dress with pink high heels from her Uncle Henry and Alana. As you can see she thought they were pretty great!

I had mentioned to a friend that I wanted to find Kayleigh a small broom for her to play with since she takes our helpers broom out of her hands all the time and tries to sweep the house. She even tries to sweep other things like the couch sometimes. Our friend Erin Ashley got her this broom, dustpan, and apron. The dust pan has her name on it. Ever since her party she has been sweeping every morning. This afternoon she decided to make a mess on the floor so that she would have something to sweep up. Clever! I think she looks like a little house wife in this picture.

Kayleigh and her friend Julianna were having a little fun before the party began. As you can see they were having a little trouble with their sunglasses!

Dragon Hat

Zeb received a Dragon hat and shoes from one of my teachers last week. Kayleigh wanted to try it on and have some fun with it.

Icee Shop

Kayleigh loves to get Icees from the store down the road from our house. This is her and her Granddy at the Juice Shop.

Zeb's present

John's teachers wanted to come over to see Zeb and bring him a gift. In Chinese culture you never open a gift given to you in front of the giver unless they tell you to open it. So after they were gone we (Kayleigh) opened Zeb's present to find this awesome dragon hat and shoes. Above you can see Kayleigh modeling the hat. It is quite interesting. She wanted to wear the shoes but they were a little small!

First week in Thailand

Well, we made it to Thailand but not without some crazy things happening. Thanks to many who prayed we made it through the airport even though Kayleigh threw up and Thai Air didn't want to let me on the plane! We are here now enjoying Thailand and awaiting our little boy. Alisa's c-section is scheduled for May 1st. It is weird to know when your baby is coming and what his birthday will be. It has been pretty hot here and it can get up to about 105 degrees F. The last couple days have been nice because it has rained and cooled everything off. We are mostly hanging out in the pool and Kayleigh is loving all the swing sets they have here. She has made some great friends that live in Cambodia. They leave on Sunday so I know she will be sad to see them go. Alisa's parents arrive tomorrow night around midnight! We can't wait to see them!

Sugar Everywhere!

After mommy put Kayleigh on the counter while Daddy was cooking, things got a little messy with Kayleigh exploring the jar of sugar. After trying to pull the measuring cup out of the jar (to try and help mommy clean up), sugar was everywhere! At least it was localized on the counter and not all over the floor.

Kayleigh blogging

Kayleigh helping mommy blog on the computer. She loves to get up and sit on the lap of whoever is on the computer working or playing.

Lipstick Mania

After Kayleigh sifted through mom's makeup bag, she found Downtown Brown lipstick and tried to imitate mommy. Needless to say, she found her face with it and nothing else!

Easter

We had a great time celebrating Easter this year. We attended the International Fellowship and then went back to Josh and Danielle's home for some great food and fellowship. It was nice to be with our team on Easter since they are our family here. Josh has a piano and let Kayleigh play on it for a while. She really enjoyed banging on the keys!

Kayleigh's First Kiss!

Yesterday we were playing outside. There are several children that are usually outside when we go to play. Fortunately, most of them are around Kayleigh's age which is great. Most of the children are really intrigued with Kayleigh since she looks so different than them. Kayleigh and this little boy were chasing each other around. After a while this little boy became brave enough to come up to Kayleigh and start touching her face. I guess Kayleigh thought it was a nice gesture because she decided to give him a kiss on the lips in return! I called John to tell him that we need to watch out because our daughter is starting early with boys! Lets hope this is the last kiss for a very very long time!
