Back Home

We are certainly glad to be back home after our time in Thailand. We feel very blessed that Alisa's tests came back negative and everything is OK with her and the baby! Thank you for your prayers.

Kayleigh was really glad to be back to her room and all of her toys and stuffed animals. She went straight to her little pink stroller and started pushing it around the house. We feel that God again blessed us with a child that has been so easy to travel with. She did not cry one time the entire trip back from Thailand, even with only having 20 minutes of sleep.

After being in Thailand with all of those younger children, Kayleigh has really gotten into her baby doll. Before our trip, she was not too interested in her baby doll, but now she is very concerned with its health and wellbeing. She really takes care of it and makes sure that it is covered with a blanket properly.

Dentist

Today was a long one, starting at 4:30am flying from Samui to Bangkok. We arrived at our guest house before breakfast was even served to the other guest that had stayed there the night before! Alisa and I had dentist appointments and all was clean and clear, no cavities. We are not to fond of Bangkok due to it being such a big city and not too kid/stroller friendly. We do like the fact that there is an Outback Steakhouse about 15 mins from where we are staying. The only reason we stay in Bangkok is for the incredible hospital facilities that exist here.

Tomorrow, Kayleigh will be getting her 18 month shots and checkup so I don't think tomorrow will be Kayleigh's favorite day. Alisa will also be getting another ultrasound done of the baby and its heart. We'll find out more tomorrow if anything has changed. We also continue to pray for the new baby and its health.

Oreo Nose

This morning, after her first nap, her snack was an Oreo (on vacation she pretty much gets a ton of stuff we never give her the rest of the year) which she loved so much she tried to breathe it in through her nose. Needless to say, chocolate doesn't go through the nasal passage very well, so she took it out and ate it normally.

Lotion is Fun!

This time Kayleigh decided that the amount of lotion Alisa put on her was not enough so she squeezed the bottle while we were not looking and put a little more on her leg and also the sheets. You can see she really likes to be protected from the sun.

Carolina Girl

Kayleigh in her UNC bathing suit. We just got done swimming this morning before her nap. She could possibly be the cutest girl in the world (no bias here)! She screamed her head off because she did not want to get out of the pool. One thing that she is starting to develop is her opinion of things and she is very vocal about it. We feel like the terrible twos are already starting to come out in our little one. She is really starting to say "No!" to us when we tell her we are going to do something, which in some cases results in a popping. It is amazing how you can love someone so much, and they can make you the maddest!

Pool Time

This is Koh Samui (Kow Samuee), the island that we usually spend our vacation. The resort is called the Smile House and as you can see, it really makes you smile while there. Kayleigh absolutely loves the water and never wants to get out when it is time to go in, even when it is dinner time!
